Senior Advisor, Global Business Development

TL;DR Kharon is seeking a full-time, Washington DC-based Senior Advisor, for the President of Global Business Development & Engagement.  


Responsibilities:

  • Support the President of Global Business Development & Engagement in developing strategic direction, decision-making processes, preparations for meetings, webinars and speaking engagements, and follow up with clients and prospects.   

  • Participate in business development meetings and other presentations by educating clients  with respect to Kharon research and case studies. 

  • Landscape and identify potential leads and entry points for business development purposes to include at banks, companies, law firms, and the public sector.

  • Conduct research on sanctions, trade controls and other Kharon-relevant security, policy and regulatory matters.

  • Conduct business intelligence research on governments, companies, industries, and geographies. 

  • Collaborate with Kharon marketing and research teams to support Kharon participation and attendance at webinars,industry events and conferences, to include drafting and editing agendas, talking points and related proprietary material and collateral.

  • Draft and edit proposals, collateral, and related material.

  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve and streamline business development and sales initiatives and operations.

  • Serve as a liaison between the President of Global Business Development & Engagement and the executive team, sales team and other Kharon departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.

  • Facilitate executive meetings, including preparing agendas and tracking action items.


Qualifications:

  • A proven interest or experience in global security matters, to include with respect to sanctions, terrorist financing, narcotics trafficking,  financial crime, trade controls, and supply chain risk management.  

  • Demonstrated experience in a high-growth setting with strong adaptability to change and ambiguity.

  • Keen sense of judgment, initiative, ownership, and follow-through.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Attentive to details with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of credibility, trust, and integrity.

  • Salesforce, Hubspot, and Google and/or Microsoft suite experience, a plus.

The base salary range at Kharon is set between $105,000 - $115,000, though subject to negotiation based on experience. Please note that this figure does not necessarily include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or equity that may be part of the overall compensation package.
